Due to inclement weather and today’s remote learning day, please see the attached memo from Superintendent Dr. Starcher of the location change for
the RCBOE’s scheduled meeting for today, December 9, 2025 at 4:30 PM.

We also ask that the principals of the schools for the LSIC Presentations and Student Recognitions to please notify the staff, students, parents and businesses
and let them know it will be rescheduled at a later date.

Students will complete Day 1 of the snow packet that was sent home by their teacher. Staff will be available at school to help with questions from 10:00-3:30. The school science fair will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10th. We will have Santa's Workshop when students return. It will extend into next week, due to the days we have been out. Items range from $1-$10. Stay safe and warm!

Due to a temporary power outage this morning, the lunch menu is changed to pizza, tossed salad, carrots and strawberries. The lunch scheduled for today will be served tomorrow.

Wow, Bulldogs! We had 100% attendance in K-5 today — that’s absolutely amazing! You all are showing up and showing out, making school a top priority, and we couldn’t be more proud. Attendance used to be a tricky challenge, but with your help, we’re turning things around big time! Keep using those attendance magnets that were sent home to track your days, don’t forget to send in those excuses and parent notes, and keep bringing that Bulldog spirit every single day! Let’s keep the streak alive and show everyone what Bulldogs are made of! 🐾💪

Students in grades 3-5 that plan to try out for a sport next week, must attend a CERP training with a parent prior to trying out. Final opportunities will be tomorrow at 3:45 PM and Tuesday, September 9th at 3:45 PM. Tryouts are on the 10th and 11th, so these will be the last training times.

The parent volunteer meeting that was previously scheduled for tomorrow is rescheduled for Monday, September eighth at 1:30 PM.

Hello, this is Tracie Wood, Principal from Marsh Fork Elementary. I’m calling to remind you about our Open House tomorrow from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. This year’s theme is Lights, Camera, LEARN! — and we’re excited to welcome you to see all the amazing learning that will be happening in our classrooms.

Please come by anytime during those hours to meet your child’s teachers and explore the classrooms. Also, there will be a parent meeting at 4:30 PM in the gym that we encourage you to attend for important information about the school year.

Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, regarding required coach’s trainings and/or certifications, the elementary sports season has to be pushed back by a few weeks. Adjusted tryout and game schedules will be released when they become available. Tryouts will tentatively begin September 10th. First games will not begin before September 22nd. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to a great season!

Good evening! We are pleased to inform you that there has been a change in reporting student scores for the West Virginia General Summative Assessment this year for grades 3-5! Assessment results will be available online after completing the ELA, math, or science tests. Your child was given a letter today with directions to access their scores. Currently 3rd - 5th grade students have Math scores and 5th grade also has Science scores. ELA scores will not be posted until the Reading and Writing assessments are scored, as they are combined.
